  • Tej Pratap Meets Woman Whose Photo With Him Led To His Exit From Party

A photo of Tej Pratap and Anushka Yadav was shared on his social media last month, claiming they had been in a relationship for 12 years. The photo was later deleted, and the former minister of Bihar claimed his account was “hacked”.

Tej Pratap Yadav today met Anushka Yadav, the woman whose viral photo with him led his father Lalu Prasad Yadav to snap all family and political ties with him.

“We have family relations, so I have come here. No one can stop me from going anywhere. I am in contact with everyone,” he said after a nearly 5-hour meeting with Ms Yadav.

A photo of the two was shared on Tej Pratap’s Facebook account last month, claiming they had been in a relationship for 12 years. The photo was later deleted, and the former minister of Bihar claimed his account was “hacked” and the photo was posted without his knowledge. The damage, however, was done.

The next day, on May 25, Lalu Prasad expelled him from RJD for six years and also disowned him due to his “irresponsible behaviour”.

Soon after, several photos of Anushka Yadav and Tej Pratap started doing the rounds on social media, which also drew a response from his estranged wife, Aishwarya Rai.

“Now everyone knows the truth. I want to know if everyone knew about it, then why did he marry me? Why did he ruin my life?” she said. “The 12-year secret is out now. If it was going on for so many years, then obviously, his family knew about it,” she said, referring to a now-deleted social media post by Tej Pratap,” she added.

Tej Pratap and Aishwarya Rai – granddaughter of former Bihar Chief Minister Daroga Prasad Rai – got married in 2018. They filed for a divorce within months of their wedding, and their petition is pending before a court

Ms Rai appeared before the media, in tears, and accused her in-laws of “ruining her life” by getting her married to him despite his being in a relationship with another woman since much before their wedding in 2018.

  • Depressed Over Death Of Parents, Brother, Navi Mumbai Man Didn’t Leave Home For 3 Years

Food packets, mountains of garbage, clothes strewn about, broken furniture and layers of dust was what social workers found when former techie Anup Kumar Nair opened the door of his Navi Mumbai home. Apart from the delivery persons that used to get him food, this was the rare instance that he chose to open his door to anyone in the last three years.

Grieving the loss of his parents and brother, Mr Nair had isolated himself and had remained locked in his house since 2022.

Social workers from the Social and Evangelical Association for Love (SEAL) reached the 55-year-old’s house to find him in an unkempt condition, his hair overgrown and matted and with an infection that had turned the skin on his legs black. He would sleep on a chair in the living room and the bed was damaged beyond repair, visuals of his apartment showed.

  • Aadhaar-PAN Link, ATM Withdrawal Fees, More. Financial Changes From July 1

Changes to regulations governing filing of income tax returns; the use of and charges associated with credit cards; and last-minute, or Tatkal, train ticket bookings; as well as making an Aadhaar card mandatory for new PAN applications, are among those that will come into effect on July 1.

These will impact individual taxpayers and customers of banks like HDFC, SBI, and ICICI.

From Tuesday the Central Board of Direct Taxes has made Aadhaar verification mandatory for PAN card applications. Existing PAN holders must link their Aadhaar numbers by December 31.

At present any valid government-issued ID, such as a driving license, and a birth certificate is enough for new PAN card applications.

Non-compliance with this rule may lead to the existing PAN being deactivate

Aadhaar verification will also be mandatory for booking Tatkal tickets.

Also, starting July 15, two-factor authentication, which will include a one-time password that will be sent to the registered mobile phone, will be required for all ticketing, online or in-person.

  • After Shefali Jariwala’s Sudden Death, Kareena Kapoor Says, “I’m Against Botox”

Kareena Kapoor recently shared her thoughts on cosmetic procedures, days after the sudden death of actor and model Shefali Jariwala at the age of 42.

    • Amid buzz around Shefali’s alleged use of anti-ageing treatments, Kareena Kapoor (44) said she is against botox.
    • In an interview with Barkha Dutt, she said, “I am against botox. I’m all for self preservation in a good sense which is being healthy, feeling great, and natural therapies. Self preservation is also about preserving myself and my talent because that is my weapon.”
    • She added, “So, preserving that, taking holidays and spending time with friends and family, engaging in things apart from being on set is also a form of self preservation rather than the needles and going under the knife. That’s something I’m all for.”

According to police officials, Shefali Jariwala died late Friday night, reportedly of cardiac arrest. While initial reports suggest her death was due to “low blood pressure, cardiac arrest and a heavy gastric condition”, the exact cause is yet to be confirmed. A post-mortem report is expected to be released today.

Investigations also indicate that self-medication and suspected food poisoning may have played a role in her death. Police sources said that Shefali had consumed stale fried rice while fasting and was undergoing anti-ageing treatment for the past five to six years. Officials added that she had taken anti-ageing injections without recent medical supervision.

  • Abhishek Bachchan Breaks Silence On His Marriage And Separation Rumours With Aishwarya Rai

In an interview with Etimes, Abhishek Bachchan weighed in on the misinformation about him making rounds on social media and why he chooses not to issue any clarification.

“Previously, things that were said about me didn’t affect me. Today, I have a family, and it’s very upsetting. Even if I clarify something, people will turn it around. Because negative news sells. You’re not me. You don’t live my life. You’re not answerable to the people that I’m answerable to.”

He added, “People who put out such negativity have to live with their conscience. They need to deal with their conscience and answer to their maker. See, it’s not just me. I don’t get affected. I know what the rigmarole of this place is. There are families involved. I’ll give you a very good example of this whole new fad of trolling.”

Abhishek Bachchan further shared an anecdote about a particularly hurtful comment left by a troll on one of his social media posts. His friend, Aarya actor Sikandar Kher was so outraged after reading that comment that he responded by publicly posting Abhishek Bachchan’s address and challenging the social media user to say it to his face.

“It’s so convenient to sit anonymously behind a computer screen and write the nastiest things. You do realise you’re hurting somebody. No matter how thick-skinned they are, it affects them. How would you like it if somebody did that to you?” he recalled.

Challenging online haters to face him in person, Abhishek Bachchan added, “If you’re going to say it on the internet, I dare you to come say it to me on my face. That person clearly will never have the guts to come and tell me this on my face. If someone comes and tells me things on my face, then I will feel they have conviction. I will respect that.”Rumours of a marital discord between Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai have dominated the entertainment industry headlines for over a year now. All this time they chose to remain tight-lipped about speculation around their separation, but Abhishek Bachchan recently opened up about how putting out “negative news” is a new trolling trend.

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai, co-stars of films such as Kuch Naa Kaho, Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke, Dhoom 2, and Guru, tied the knot in 2007. They are parents to their 13-year-old daughter Aaradhya Bachchan.

  • Mumbai Woman’s Shocking Allegations Against Glutathione Clinic: “I Thought I Was Going To Die”

In a tragic coincidence, Shefali Jariwala – known as the “Kaanta Laga” girl and a reality TV star – passed away last week, reportedly after taking glutathione injection while fasting. However, the post-mortem report is awaited.

Now, a Mumbai woman has come forward with serious allegations of medical negligence against a cosmetic clinic administering glutathione drips – an increasingly popular but unregulated treatment marketed as a skin lightening and detox therapy.

Speaking exclusively to NDTV, 40-year-old Maggie says she is still reeling from the physical and mental trauma of the treatments, nearly a year later.

“After the first session, my cough and cold got aggravated. I kept calling the clinic and messaging the doctors, but there was no response. I didn’t know what was happening to my body,” she recalls.

Despite her symptoms, she continued with the second and third sessions, attributing her illness to weather changes and pollution. She even underwent a PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) facial treatment at the clinic, which she describes as “badly done”, alleging that the plasma was injected late, leading to scars on her face.

  • Video: Odisha Officer Dragged Out Of His Office, Kicked In Face, 3 Arrested

High drama unfolded in the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) office today after a senior official was assaulted by a group of men. In a shocking video, the men were seen dragging the additional commissioner of the BMC, Ratnakar Sahoo, out of his office, repeatedly hitting him and kicking him in his face.

Mr Sahoo was allegedly attacked during a grievance hearing. He has alleged that while the public hearing was going on, some people barged into his chamber and grabbed him by his collar and assaulted him over claims that he allegedly misbehaved with Jag Bhai (BJP leader Jagannath Pradhan). He also claimed that the men tried to forcibly take him to their vehicle.

“While I was conducting a grievance hearing around 11.30 am, five to six people, including BMC corporator Jeevan Raut, barged into my chamber. As soon as he entered the chamber, the councillor asked me if I had misbehaved with Jag Bhai. But when I refused, the people accompanying him misbehaved and manhandled me. They dragged me out of my office, thrashed me and were trying to forcibly take me to their vehicle,” Mr Sahoo said.

Visuals showed the men pushing him to the ground, kicking him and dragging him down a set of stairs to a vehicle

A First Information Report (FIR) has been filed in the case, and three people – Jeevan Raut, Rashmi Mahapatra and Debashish Pradhan – have been arrested.

  • ‘Anti-Ageing Regime Is Fine, But Know Where To Stop’: Khushbu Sundar

Actor Khushbu Sundar has pointed at ‘fear of missing out’ or FOMO as one of the key contributing factors that adds immense strain on the lives of young people and those in the entertainment industry to stay in top shape externally, and in the process fall prey to anxiety, panic attack, depression and a host of other serious health issues.

She said there are two kinds of pressures that people in the entertainment industry face – from within, and from outside.

When people expect you to look a certain way, present yourself in a certain way, whether it’s your makeup or clothes, when they expect you to have a designer, a stylist, etc that’s what can be called pressures from within the industry, Mr Sundar told NDTV.

“But more than that, I think the pressures are more from the outside world. In today’s times, when we talk about social media, this is where the pressure comes from,” she said. “… If you’re not properly dressed, if one hair is out of place, if your mascara is running down, if you’re not wearing your lipstick, then I think the pressure builds up that you don’t know how to handle yourself.”

  • India Nears Starlink Rollout as SpaceX Clears Regulatory Hurdles

India is on the cusp of a major leap in digital connectivity as SpaceX’s Starlink satellite internet service inches closer to operational status in the country.

In an exclusive conversation, Dr Pawan Goenka, Chairman of the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Center (IN-SPACe), which is India’s space regulator, confirmed that most of the regulatory and licensing requirements for Starlink have been addressed.

The final approvals are expected to be wrapped up in the coming days.

The meeting between Dr Goenka and Gwynne Shotwell, who is President & COO of SpaceX, held during the latter’s recent visit to India, focused on resolving outstanding issues related to authorisations.

While the groundwork is nearly complete, Dr Goenka emphasised that several technical and procedural steps remain before the service can be launched. “Even after authorisation, it will take a few months for the service to become operational,” he noted.
